Richard –
The 15” Mod Lite Skeletonized Series M-LOK Free Floating Handguard in anodized black is a standout piece that truly lives up to its reputation. Designed for my .308 build, it offers a solid, lightweight feel that doesn’t compromise strength or durability. The skeletonized design not only looks sleek and modern but also helps with weight reduction, making handling and maneuvering much easier during extended shooting sessions.
Constructed with high-quality materials, the finish has remained flawless even after extensive use in various conditions. The anodized black coating looks sharp and feels resilient, providing excellent resistance against scratches and wear. The free-floating setup ensures consistent accuracy by minimizing contact with the barrel, and the monolithic top rail offers a seamless, solid platform for mounting optics and other accessories. Installing it was straightforward, thanks to the well-machined mounting system that aligns precisely with my AR-10 receiver.
What I appreciate most about this handguard is its versatility. The M-LOK slots are perfectly positioned for attaching accessories like tactical lights, grips, or additional rails without cluttering the design. Despite being discontinued, I find this model strikes a great balance of quality, design, and performance. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the engineering, resulting in a product that performs well under the rigors of tactical or precision shooting.
Overall, this handguard provides excellent value—combining style, functionality, and durability. If you’re looking for a premium upgrade for your .308 firearm that enhances both aesthetics and performance, this is definitely worth considering. Though no longer in production, finding a well-maintained piece like this on the market is a real benefit for anyone seeking a reliable, high-quality component for their build. I’d recommend it to enthusiasts who prioritize quality and sleek design in their tactical setups.
