After upgrading my AR-10 build, I decided to give the 15” Air Lite Series M-LOK Free Floating Handguard a try, and it’s been a solid addition. The OD Green color is a great touch—unique enough to stand out without being over the top—and it fits perfectly with my tactical setup. The quality of this handguard is immediately noticeable; the materials feel durable and lightweight, making handling much more comfortable during extended shooting sessions.
Installation was straightforward, thanks to the well-machined parts and clear instructions. The monolithic top rail provides a seamless platform for mounting my optics and accessories, offering excellent stability and alignment. The M-LOK slots are nicely placed, allowing me to customize the forend with various accessories, and they securely lock in without any wobble, maintaining zero even after multiple rounds.
What really impresses me is how lightweight this handguard is considering its size and strength. It doesn’t add unnecessary weight to the rifle, which enhances balance and maneuverability. The free-floating design has noticeably improved accuracy, especially during precision shooting. The finish on the OD Green is rugged and resistant to scratches, maintaining its appearance even after rough handling and outdoor use.
Although the product is discontinued, it’s clear that it was designed with serious users in mind. The fit and finish reflect a high level of craftsmanship, and it feels built to last. The value is impressive for the quality you get—especially when considering it’s designed for .308 caliber firearms, which demand robust components.
Overall, this handguard exceeded my expectations. It combines durability, lightweight handling, and excellent customization options—all critical for my tactical and precision shooting needs. While it’s unfortunate that this specific model is no longer available, I’d recommend looking for similar high-quality options from the same series. For anyone seeking a reliable, well-made free-floating handguard for their .308 rifle, it’s worth considering a model like this one for a seamless upgrade.
